Support Groups

Date:  Wednesdays
Time:  7 - 9 p.m.
Facilitator:  Nancy Fawcett, PhD, LPC
Fee:  $20 each session

Dr. Fawcett  facilitates this support group for bipolar disorder and depression. This group is supportive as well as educational. Each meeting begins with different topics including information about St. Louis doctors who specialize in mood disorders; the latest research on medications; why antidepressants should rarely be used for bipolar disorder; and articles and books to read in order to be more informed about your illness.

As a member of the group, you will have plenty of opportunity to ask questions as well as share your experiences with others. All of your ideas are welcome so that together, a group can be created that meets the needs of everyone in the best way possible. Space is limited to 12 adults per group. Your health insurance may cover the costs.

Religious Professional’s Support Groups

Facilitator: Dale R. Kuhn, MA, STM, LCSW, AAPC Fellow
Fee: $20 per meeting

Care and Counseling Pastoral Support Groups are led Rev. Dale Kuhn, a professionally trained pastoral counselor to provide a safe place to share joys, frustrations, personal issues and professional questions concerning congregational dynamics and other pastoral issues.  Rev. Kuhn is able to help pastors develop a plan for self care and encourage each to seek a pastor of their own.

Class meets weekly at Lutheran Church of the Atonement, Florissant on Tuesdays from 10:45 to Noon and every other week at the main office of Care and Counseling on Fridays from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m.
